The Branch - Hollywood District, 2020
Currently cut off from the rest of the Hollywood district, Sullivan’s Gulch and its expansion north produces a new green corridor throughout the neighborhood. Bioswales and other green interventions form the basis off which a green-street network branches. This network, tied back into the new Sullivan’s Gulch Park, fully establishes a green loop in the neighborhood. Synthesized, four major nodes within the neighborhood are created and the Hollywood district takes on a distinct urban identity, becoming a new, green hub of higher residential density and commercial use in the heart of Portland’s inner-east side.
